A village in the Salzkammergut region, this enchanting and historic location lies on the shores of the Hallstatt Sea. It is a calm, picturesque town which is very deserving of its UNESCO World Heritage distinction. A town of less than a thousand inhabitants, the best attractions here include the Cultural Heritage Museum, the Beinhaus, the salt caves, the Ice Caves, and the quiet but pretty little town center.

Located in Alsace, this French city that has witnessed and felt the horrendous effects of WWII. But now, it offers a lot of pretty countryside attractions that you won’t find anywhere else. Start your tour with the Maison des Tetes and then visit the Maison Pfister. There are beautiful churches here too, such as the Dominican Church and the St. Martin Church.

The old town of Rovinj is accessible by ferry from the equally pretty town of Venice. When you get here, the best things to do are walk around the town, go up the campanile of the Sv Euphemia Cathedral, and visit the Rovinj Heritage Museum. Then go shopping, cycling, and swimming.
